Little Boy Killed When Run Over By Backing Truck

Goshen, Ind. — An accident at the Roy Zimmerman farm southwest of here on July 28 claimed the life of the Zimmermans' son, Galen Lyndell, two and a half years old.

The little boy was run over by a pickup truck being backed out of the driveway by his father, who said he had not seen the boy as he backed up. The parents rushed the boy to Goshen General Hospital, but he was dead on arrival.

Funeral services were held Saturday forenoon at the Wisler Mennonite Church, with Rev. Paul Hoover and Rev. Leonard Martin officiating.

Surviving in addition to the parents are two sisters of the home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben M. Shirk of rural Goshen and Mrs. Esther Zimmerman of Foraker; and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh E. Martin of rural Goshen an Mrs. Anna shirk of East Earl, Pa.
