text of obituary:

Viola Ann (Flickner) Zerger, daughter of Jonathan P. and Amalia (Wedel) Flickner, was born Nov. 2, 1905 near Moundridge, Kan. She received her elementary education in the Peaceful School District and then attended Moundridge High School, graduating in the spring of 1925; later attending Bethel College for a time.

She was baptized upon her confession of faith by Rev. C. J. Goering on June 20, 1920 and was accepted into the Eden Mennonite Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

She was united in marriage to Peter E. Zerger on May 27, 1926, with whom she shared life's joys and sorrows for more than 41 years. To this union were born four children, all of whom survive her.

Her home and family was her primary concern. Her grandchildren were a special source of joy and comfort to her especially during her prolonged illness. She was concerned not only about their physical well-being but their spiritual life also. Her undying patience and uncomplaining spirit were an example of her devotion to Christ and the church.

She passed away quietly in her sleep on Monday morning, June 26, 1967 having reached the age of 61 years, seven months and 24 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure her devoted husband, Peter; two sons, Vernon and wife Susan of McPherson; Myron and wife Ardis of Dearborn, Mich.; two daughters, Ruby and husband James Unruh of Hesston; Dorothy and husband of Edwin Stucky of Moundridge; 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Herbert and Jonas Flickner; six sisters, Linda (Mrs. W. L. Kaufman), Frieda (Mrs. Henry Zismann), Martha (Mrs. Paul Wedel), Maurice (Mrs. Marion Vogts), all of Moundridge, Hilda (Mrs. Dave C. Stucky), Galva; Elda (Mrs. Mike Janzen), Canistota, S. D., and a host of other relatives and many friends.
