His concern for the spiritual welfare of the church and his fellow man was reflected in his unselfish service. he served faithfully in numerous church offices as well as serving in the Sunday school Department for many years.

He was a farmer all his life. he enjoyed nature's ways, whether it was watching the crops grow or observing the different patterns of weather developing across the plains of Kansas. His 13 grandchildren were a constant source of joy, especially during the last years of his life.

After being in a coma for eight days he quietly passed away on Easter morning, march 29, 1970, having reached the age of 67 years four months, and 22 days.
