Death came to Mrs. Emanuel (Barbara) Zehr on March 8 at the age of 92. She had been a resident of Hopedale House five years. Surviving are a son, Albert of Hopedale, four daughters, Mrs. Lena Guth of Azusa, Calif., Mrs. Emma Litwiller of Hopedale, Mrs. Alma Shrock of Chicago, and Mrs. Lylia [''sic'' Lydia] Ripper, Morton, 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held here on March 10. Barbara was a charter member of the women's sewing circle, and kept that group (WMSA) supplied with quilt tops as long as she was able, besides making quilt tops for her children, grandchildren and other groups. It is fitting that memorials to her were made to the Hopedale Mennonite WMSA. &#8212; Mrs. Orrin
