Goshen, Ind. &#8212; Tobias V. Yoder, well known Amish farmer of the Emma community near Topeka, died July 21 at an Elkhart nursing and convalescent home at the age of 99.

A lifelong resident of the Emma vicinity, Mr. Yoder was a peppermint farmer for many years. Later he engaged in production of popcorn, and became known as the "popcorn king."

His large family of descendants, numbering 287 in all, includes seven children, 32 grandchildren, 156 great-grandchildren, and 92 great-great-grandchildren.

Retired Lagrange County Farmer Dies at Age 99

Goshen, Ind. — Tobias V. Yoder, well known Amish farmer of the Emma community near Topeka, died July 21 at an Elkhart nursing and convalescent home at the age of 99.

A lifelong resident of the Emma vicinity, Mr. Yoder was a peppermint farmer for many years. Later he engaged in production of popcorn, and became known as the "popcorn king."

His large family of descendants, numbering 287 in all, includes seven children, 32 grandchildren, 156 great-grandchildren, and 92 great-great-grandchildren.
