Georgia Youth Dies In Collision on Rain-Slick Highway

Hartville, Ohio. — A two-car collision on a rain-slick highway south of Canal Fulton claimed the life of Melvin L. Yoder, Jr. of Montezuma, Ga. on Sept. 9.

It was reported that the right wheels of the car driven by the young man dropped off the edge of the pavement. In attempting to get back, the car skidded into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with another car.

The Yoder youth, who was in 1-W service at a hospital in Franklin, Va., died several hours after the accident. With him were his brother Olen, Marie Schrock and Norma V. Sommers of Ohio. All were injured.

The group had attended the wedding of friends at Hartville.
