Kalona, Iowa Retired Farmer Dies in Texas

Kalona, Iowa. — A heart attack suffered at his winter home in McAllen, Texas on March 26 proved fatal to Jason G. Yoder, 71, well-known retired farmer here.

The body was returned to Kalona, and funeral services were arranged for Sunday afternoon, March 31, at the East Union Mennonite Church, of which he was a member.

Mr. Yoder and his wife, the former Mary Schlabaugh, retired from the farm and moved to Kalona in 1946.

Surviving in addition to the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Paul Guengerich of Parnell; two sons, Wilbur J. and John Dayle of Kalona; 10 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Irving Bender of Wellman.
