Edith Martin, nine-year-old daughter of Mrs. Ruth Martin of Dayton, Va., was coasting on a hill when her sled collided with another one, causing a serious skull injury. She was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery.

Sledding Accidents Cause Death, Injury To Children

Reports of two serious sledding accidents have come to the Review.

Near Selinsgrove, Pa., the sled ridden by 11-year-old Eli A. Yoder was struck by a car, inflicting a skull fracture which proved fatal several hours later. Funeral services for the boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin C. Yoder, were held Jan. 2.
