Mother of Three Dies In Crossing Accident
MRS. WM. P. YODER, 47, INSTANTLY KILLED WHEN CAR STALLS ON TRACKS
Meadville, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church here for Mrs. William P. Yoder, 47, who was instantly killed in a railroad crossing accident on Sunday, April 19.
Mr. and Mrs. Yoder, one daughter and an aunt, Mrs. Erwin Schrock, were en route to church services when the car driven by Mr. Yoder stalled on the track, with a train approaching. After one attempt to start the motor again, they quickly abandoned the car, but Mrs. Yoder could not get out in time.
Surviving in addition to the husband are two daughters and one son, the parents, Moses Bortregers, six brothers and five sisters.
