Pennsylvania Father Of Three Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Belleville, Pa.—Funeral services were held at the Allensville Mennonite Church on Oct. 3 for John I. Yoder, 36, who died in a motorcycle accident three days earlier.

Officers reported that Yoder apparently forgot to put up the cycle's kick stand upon riding away from a service station with his eight-year-old daughter, Dorothy, as a passenger. The stand caught on the crown of the road, causing the cycle to flip on its side. Yoder was thrown onto the pavement head first. His daughter suffered only minor injuries.

Yoder owned and operated the J. I. Yoder Garage in Allensville. He was a member of the Rockville Mennonite Church.

Survivors include the widow, the former Rebecca Kanagy, and daughters Catherine, Dorothy and Lori Ann, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Iddo I. Yoder of rural Milmont; three sisters and four brothers.
