Three-year-old Crushed Under Tractor Wheel
Belleville, Pa. — Another farmyard accident claimed the life of a three-year-old lad here on July 22.
Killed instantly when his skull was fractured under the cleats of a large John Deere 630 tractor was little David Elmer Yoder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Yoder, Huntingdon, Route 3. Mr. Yoder had made a careful check before beginning to back the tractor out of an implement shed, but the boy, who was playing beside a nearby baler, apparently got in the way just as the tractor got in motion.
Funeral services were held July 24 at the Baggus Funeral Home in Belleville, with Rev. Waldo E. Miller officiating.
David is survived by his parents, two brothers, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
