Recent Graduate Dies When Car is Hit By Heavy Truck

Goshen, Ind. — A traffic accident on Ind.-15 north of Goshen late Friday afternoon, June 2, claimed the life of Brenda S. Yoder, 18, a 1972 graduate of Northridge High School.

Witnesses said the young woman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Yoder of rural Goshen, was driving toward Goshen when she started to pass another vehicle and then swerved back into her own lane of traffic. The car went out of control and into the path of an oncoming wrecker truck, killing her instantly.

Brenda was a member of the Silver Street Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held Monday forenoon at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with Rev. Jacob Mierau and Rev. Robert Koehn in charge.
