Mrs. Catherine Yantzi, 80, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Aug. 20, 1969 at her home in Bay Port, Mich.

She was born Aug. 8, 1918 in Tavistock, Ontario. On May I5, 1918 she was married to John Yantzi at Thurman, Colo. She and her husband lived in Colorado until 1933 when they came to make their home in Michigan. Mr. Yantzi passed away Jan. 12, 1969. Mrs. Yantzi was a member of the Michigan Avenue Mennonite Church of Pigeon, Mich.

She is survived by one son, Cephas of Constantine; two daughters, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Mitin and Mrs. Jay (Alta) Mitin, both of Bay Port; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Ruby, Mrs. Peter R. Zehr and Mrs. Sim Gascho, all of New Hamburg, Ontario; three brothers, Dave and John Schwartzentruber, both of Tavistock, Ontario; and Dan Schwartzentruber of Stratford, Ontario.

Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Michigan Avenue Mennonite Church. Rev. Herbert Yoder and Rev. Raymond Roe officiated, with burial in the church cemetery.

MRS. JOHN YANTZI

Mrs. Catherine Yantzi, 80, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Aug. 20, 1969 at her home in Bay Port, Mich.

She was born Aug. 8, 1918 in Tavistock, Ontario. On May I5, 1918 she was married to John Yantzi at Thurman, Colo.
