CROSSING ACCIDENT FATAL TO 70-YEAR-OLD MANITOBA FARMER
Morden, Man. — John J. Wolfe, 70, farmer in the Mountain City district five miles south of here, was instantly killed when his truck was struck by an eastbound Canadian Pacific passenger train Tuesday morning, August 3.
Wolfe was on his way home and failed to see the approaching train. He drove his truck onto the track in front of the train. The train struck the vehicle in the middle and demolished it completely.
Funeral services for the deceased were held in the Mennonite church at Waldheim with Rev. I. A. Hoeppner, his neighbor, in charge. Mr. Wolfe is survived by his widow.
