Field Accident Fatal To Kansas Farmer
Hillsboro, Kan. — Funeral services were conducted at the Ebenfeld M. B. Church near here Sept. 21 for Orlen C. Wohlgemuth, 46, well-known farmer of the Ebenfeld community who was fatally injured in a farm accident Sept. 17.
Mr. Wohlgemuth was working on the Wilbur Handyman farm east of Peabody when his arm was caught in a field cutter. After being extricated from the machine by Mr. Hanneman, he was rushed to the Bethesda Hospital at Goessel where he died shortly after being admitted.
Mr. Wohlegemuth was a graduate of the Tabor Academy and attended Tabor College for two years. He was an active member of the Ebenfeld Church, where he was a deacon, secretary of the church council, youth sponsor, and assistant teacher.
Survivors include his widow; their two children, John, 17, and Jane, 14; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Wohlgemuth of Peabody.
