• Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Willard, 60, formerly of Merriam, Kan., were held Thursday morning, May 30, at the Bethel College Church. Rev. John Esau officiated. Mrs. Willard, the former Ruth Unruh, died May 28 at Friendly Acres Nursing Home here. A graduate of Bethel College, she had taught school at Beatrice, Neb. and Shawnee, Kan. She was a member of the Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village. Surviving are the widower, C. Ben Willard; a daughter, Mrs. James O. Davis of Overland Park; one grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Susie Unruh of Newton; four sisters, Mrs. George Pack of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Lee Fent of Newton, Viola Unruh of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Marvin Gertsen of Stillwater, Okla.; and one brother, Ernest A. of Newton.
