Long-Time Resident at Meade, Kansas Dies

Mead, Kan. — Mrs. Marie Wiens, a resident of this community since 1916, died Sunday at the Lone Tree Lodge here after a long illness. She was 76.

Funeral services were announced for Wednesday forenoon at the Emanuel Mennonite Church [sic Emmanuel Mennonite Church], of which she was a member. Rev. J. N. Hiebert and Rev. Harold McKellips were to be in charge.

A native of McPherson County, Kan., Mrs. Wiens was preceded in death by her husband, B. A. Wiens. She leaves four daughters, two sons, and a number of grandchildren.
