Long-Time Overseas Worker Dies at Age 56

Hillsboro, Kan. — Word was received here that Dr. Henry W. Wiens, 56, of Bethesda, Md., died June 30 after a long illness following surgery for a brain tumor.

At various times Dr. Wiens had served overseas under the MCC, the Red Cross, U S Foreign Aid missions, Church World Service, and the World Bank. This service was in the Middle East area, southern Europe, the Congo, Guatemala, and Peru.

The son of Mrs. Marie H. Wiens of Reedley, he was formerly active in the Reedley M. B. Church and taught at Reedley College and the University of California at Santa Barbara.
