— Rev, F. J. Wiens, widely known missionary and pastor, died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home near Reedley, Calif., on Monday, Sept. 28. He became ill after eating breakfast and died shortly after 12:14 P. M. While a missionary in China about 25 years ago, he at one time acted as intermediary between two armies, seeking to bring about a reconciliation. Funeral services held at the Mennonite brethren church were largely attended.
