Wichita, Kan. — A two-car crash northeast of here on Thursday evening, Nov. 9, claimed the life of Anna Grace Wiens, 37, a registered nurse employed at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Memorial services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Bethel Mennonite Church near Inman, Rev. Paul Isaak, the pastor, and Rev. Harold Regier of Newton, a brother-in-law, officiated.
Miss Wiens was driving north on a blacktop highway when her car apparently went to the right onto a paved shoulder. it is believed that when she turned back onto the highway, her light car went into a long skid on the rain-slick pavement. It was hit broadside by an oncoming car, and she died instantly.
Miss Wiens was a graduate of the Bethel Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, Newton. Her survivors include four brothers and four sisters: Nick of Newton, Leonard of Walton, Simon of Inman, Adolf of Medora, Mrs. Ruben Wedel of Pharr, Texas, Mrs. Wm.
