MARY WIEBE

Mary Wiebe died Aug. 30 . She was born Nov. 26, 1910 to Diedrich and Maria Schulz near Herbert, Sask . When she was 5, Mary's family moved to the Greenfarm district. She accepted the Lord at an early age at her parents' side. She was baptized at 16 and became a member of the Greenfarm Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. On Oct. 27, 1931, she married Anthony Wiebe. They farmed together for many years. In 1964, they moved to Herbert and joined Herbert MB Church. Mary enjoyed travelling, gardening, cooking, baking, crocheting, keeping a diary, and collecting poems and songs. Predeceased by infant son Arthur; 1 brother; 3 sisters; she is mourned by her husband of 74 years, Anthony; children Ray (Fran), Lorne (Marge), Doris (Lorne) Priebe, Lois (Abe) Reimer, and Rick (Sharon); 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was Sept. 2 at Herbert MB Church.
