text of obituary: Martha Wiebe died peacefully Nov. 6. She was born May 3, 1912 in Borden, Sask. to Henry and Marga- ret Penner. At 17, she was baptized on the confession of her faith in Jesus Christ. Martha loved music and sang in a trio with her two older sisters. In 1934, she married Peter J. Wiebe. They moved to Rabbit Lake, Sask . to homestead and subsequently to Main Centre, Rush Lake, and Glenbush.ln 1974, they retired to Swift Cur- rent, joining the Bridgeway Community Church. They enjoyed gardening, daily walks, and listen- ing to Christian TV and radio broadcasts. After Peter died in 1990, Martha moved to Saskatoon. She was a loving mother who spent as much time reading her Bible as her failing eyesight allowed. Predeceased by Peter; son Leonard; 5 siblings; she is mourned by sons Phil (Doris), Jake (Sharlene), Ben (Linda); daughter-in-law Faith; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. The memorial service was at West Portal Church, Saskatoon.
