EMIL H. WIEBE

Emil H. Wiebe was born to Henry and Margaret Regier Wiebe on Oct. 30, 1893, near Elbing, Kans.

On May 26, 1912 he confessed his faith in his Savior by baptism and joined the Emmaus Mennonite Church of which he remained a faithful member throughout his life.

On October 30, 1919, he was married to Margaret Epp. To this union were born two children, Olga and Elvin. They also adopted a boy, Donald. After 25 years they were privileged to express their gratefulness to god in a silver wedding celebration. Mrs. Wiebe passed away on April 2, 1953.

Mr. Wiebe was later married to Blanche Zuercher. They were privileged to share seven years together. Mr. Wiebe was always in the best of health and his illness came suddenly on May 17, from which he never recovered. He departed to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 26, 1962, having reached the age of 68 years. He was a successful farmer and cattle man, working on the farm all his life.

During his sickness he appreciated the visitors and especially the ministers and the quartet that sang for him. Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, Anna, and one brother, Willie.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Blanche; his daughter Olga Busenitz and husband Gerhard of Newton, Kan.; a son Elvin Wiebe and wife Anna of whitewater; one sister, Mrs. Marie Thiessen; two brothers, Henry M. and Jacob H. Wiebe; also seven grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, at the Emmaus Mennonite Church with Rev. L. R. Amstutz officiating.
