CATHERINE WIEBE

Catherine Hamm Wiebe was born in Beatrice, Neb. on Dec. 26, 1886 and passed away on March 11, 1964, reaching the age of 77 years, three months and 15 days.

She came to this area with her parents at the age of 11 years, settling first in the Adelaide district along with other Mennonite families. She was baptized in June of 1902 and received into the fellowship of the church, where she remained a faithful member until the time of her death.

On Nov. 1, 1906, she was united in marriage with Henry Wiebe and they were privileged to share life's joys and sorrows together for 56 years and nine months.

She was preceded in death by one son who died at the age of 17 years, and her husband who passed away on July 25, 1963.

She leaves to mourn her passing: Two sons, Rudolf and Edgar; two daughters, Irene (Mrs. Herman Fieguth) and Alice (Mrs. William Carrol), and their families, including two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Henry Claassen, and many other relatives and friends. — The Family.
