MRS. J. N. WIEBE

Mrs. J. N. Wiebe was born Dec. 10, 1899, at Inman, Kansas, and quietly departed from this life Nov.19, 1957, having reached the age of 57 years,11 months and seven days.

In he youth she realized her need of a Saviour from sin and accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. She was baptized by Rev. John Flaming and united with the Bergthal Mennonite Church near Corn, Okla. In 1951 when the First Mennonite Church was organized in Clinton, she with her husband transferred their membership and became charter members of this church, to which she remained faithful in attendance and service until her departure.

The Wiebes moved from the Corn community to Clinton in 1924. Having lived in Clinton in 33 years, they made many friends whose love and help was very much appreciated during mother's illness and homegoing.

Surviving are her husband, J. N. Wiebe; three daughters, Doris Jean of the home, Leona, Mrs. Raymond Teeter, her husband and their two sons, of Foss, Okla.; Adaline, Mrs. Riley L. Jones, her husband and son and daughter of Bton Rouge, La.; two sons, Ralph J. Wiebe, wife and two daughters of Jacksonville, Ill and Al Wiebe and wife of Clinton, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Charles Klassen of Salem, Oregon; two brothers, Henry Sawatzky of Wichita, Kansas and David Sawatzky of Prescott, Arizona.

Since her pastor, Rev. Walter H. Regier, was unable to conduct her service due to illness he sent a short message to the service, which was conducted in the First Methodist Church in Clinton with Rev. Henry Hege sharing a message from the Word and Rev. Wilshire leading the Scripture and prayer. Mr. and Mrs. John Fadenrecht and Mrs. Walter Regier sang trio selections.
