ABRAM M. WIEBE
Abram M. Wiebe, 77, of Goshen, Ind., died at [sic] July 26, 2000, at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. He was born Oct. 3, 1922, to Jacob A. and Sarah (Fast) Wiebe. He married Marcella Mae Franz on Aug. 16, 1945, in Mountain Lake, Minn.
He graduated from Mountain Lake High School, Mountain Lake, in 1941 and Goshen College in 1946. He volunteered for Mennonite relief efforts and other organizations. He set up Menno Travel Service in Akron, Pa.; worked with church publications; pastored churches in Pennsylvania, Kansas and South Dakota; taught at Freeman Junior College and Academy in South Dakota; and most recently owned and operated Accent Photography in Nappanee. He was a member of Silverwood Mennonite Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marcella; four daughters, Carol and her husband Jonathan Hoke of Goshen, Rachel and her husband Larry Summey of Chapel Hill, N. C., Lisa and her husband Robert Hostetler of Philadelphia, and Jan and her husband David Wiebe-Neufeldt of Lethbridge, Alta.; two sons, Lloyd of Tucson Ariz., and Douglas of Moss Beach, Calif.; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Baltzer of Yucca Valley, Calif.; and a brother, Walter of Chadds Ford, Pa. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Wiebe.
Services were held at Silverwood Mennonite Church.
