KENNETH WHITE

Kenneth White of Richmond, B.C. passed away June 17. He was born May 19, 1932 in Orillia, Ont. As a child he accepted Christ. At 17 he joined the Royal Canadian Navy, serving actively for 10 years and receiving 3 medals in the Korean War. During his naval service, he rededicated his life to the Lord. He continued serving as a reserve lieutenant, working with cadets each summer until his death. His testimony made an impact on many young people. In Victoria, B.C. he met Monica Tracey; they were married in 1961. He graduated from University of B.C. with a B.Ed. He taught elementary school briefly, then taught at Tupper Secondary School in Vancouver until his death. He was a member of Fraserview MB Church in Richmond, B.C. for the past 10 years and was actively involved, never hesitating to volunteer in numerous areas. He is remembered for his welcoming smile and his humourous disposition. He is survived by his wife Monica; children Allan of Adelaide, Australia and Heather Epp of Richmond, B.C. The funeral was June 22 at Fraserview MB Church, with Herb Brandt ministering.
