Farmer Fatally Injured In Truck-Tractor Crash
Wilmot, Ohio. — A large gathering of relatives and friends attended the funeral at the family home for Aden C. Wengerd, 32, who was killed when the tractor he was driving went out of control and collided with an on-coming tank truck.
The accident happened on a steep down-grade, with the tractor and attached implement trailer veering from side to side.
The impact of the crash smashed the front wheels of the truck and also tore off the tractor's front wheels and axle.
Wengerd was a member of the Old order Amish congregation. His wife and a son and daughter survive.
