Emma Lodders Wenger, daughter of John Christian and Ida Winter Lodders, was born March 25, 1880 in Washington, Iowa, and died Sunday morning, Jan. 21, 1968 at Parkview Home, Wayland, Iowa, where she had been a resident since June 1962.

She united with the Presbyterian Church in her youth, and after her marriage to P. P. Wenger on March 20, 1901, she became a member of the Eicher Mennonite Church, Wayland, and to this church she remained a faithful member as long as her health permitted.

She leaves to mourn her departure two daughters, Edith (Mrs. Peter P. Preheim) of Marion, S. D., and Florence of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; also two brothers, Leon of Prescott, Ariz., and Walter of Hamilton, Mont.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955, one daughter Iona Mae, her parents, two brothers and one sister.

She was a kind and loving mother and a friend to all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.

Services were held at the Eicher Mennonite Church on Jan. 23, 1968, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Rudolph Martens in charge. The final resting place was in the Eicher Cemetery.
