Pioneer Lehigh Resident Died

Hillsboro, Kan. — Mrs. Henry Weinbrenner, 88, pioneer resident of the Lehigh community, died at the Salem hospital here Aug, 21 after an illness of several years. Funeral services were held Aug. 25 at the First Mennonite church of Lehigh, Rev. P. W. Goering officiating.

Mrs. Weinbrenner, the former Christine Hermes, was born at Ransel, Germany on Aug. 10, 1866. She was married to Mr. Weinbrenner in 1890 and they came to this country two years later. They farmed near Lehigh for many years and later moved to town, where they celebrated both the 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries.

Mr. Weinbrenner died in 1952. Surviving are one son and three daughters.
