On Jan. 8, 1919, he was united in marriage to Florence Julia Benson at McPherson. The home was broken by Mrs. Wedel's passing Jan. 6, 1952.

Mr. Wedel was baptized July 20, 1913, by Rev. H. R. Voth, and became a member of the Mennonite Church. Mr. and Mrs. Wedel were active in the Lord's work. He had engaged in maintenance work in office buildings and apartments for many years. His sudden passing came at the McPherson Hospital Sunday afternoon, March 11, 1962.

Survivors include his devoted family, Lois and Marlin Rundberg of Lindsborg, Harold and Leona Wedel, and Robert and Shirley Wedel, all of McPherson, eight grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Will Fast of Moundridge, Mrs. Lavina Koehn of McPherson, Mrs. Melina Wedel and Mrs. Lena Wedel, both of Moundridge; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ida Wedel of Moundridge; two brothers, Andrew H.
