&#8212; Herman S. Wedel, 84, retired farmer of rural Burns, died last Sunday at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. A native of the Moundridge community, he had lived near Burns since 1937. He was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church at Elbing, where the funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Harold Graber, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Wedel is survived by his widow, the former Christian Voran; four daughters, Mrs. Wm. Regier and Mrs. Ronald Andres of Elbing, Eleanor of the home, and Mrs. Arnold Entz of rural Newton; five sons, Stanley of Elbing, Howard of Peabody, Wilmer and Clarence of Burns, and Kenneth of Moundridge; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Gering of Anthony, Mrs. Ernest Buller of Newton, Misses Katherine Wedel of McPherson and Mary and Esther Wedel of Moundridge; two brothers, Rev. P. P. Wedel of Moundridge and Alfred of McPherson; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
