Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 16, at the Cordell M. B. Church, of which he was a long-time member. Mr. and Mrs. Wedel lived near the church having moved from the farm seven years ago.

Mr. Wedel drove to his farm with a small tractor and plow on Wednesday morning to do some plowing. Henry Penner, working in a nearby field, said the tractor tumbled down a creek bank, pinning Mr. Wedel face down in the water. Death was due to drowning.

Oklahoma and Iowa Farm Accidents Claim Two Lives

Corn, Okla. — A tractor accident at his farm southeast of Bessie on Jan. 12 claimed the life of Henry Wedel, a native of Poland and resident of the Bessie community for 50 years.
