MRS. EVA WEDEL

Mrs. Eva Wedel, daughter of Ben K. and Lena Becker Unruh, was born in Pawnee Rock, Kan. on July 8, 1885. While still a child she moved with her parents to Meno, Okla.

She and Jacob T. Wedel were married in 1904, establishing a home at Meno. Later they moved to Taloga, Okla. and then to Colorado and Kansas before returning to a farm near Goltry, Okla. in 1919.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1940 and she moved to Enid, Okla. in 1956. An infant son and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wedel was a member of the Grace Mennonite Church in Enid, and a member of the WCTU until ill health prevented her from attending.

She is survived by three sons, Roy and Marvin of Enid, and Herman of Des Moines, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Erma) Weis of Enid, Mrs. Jack (Ruby) Sidman of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Donald (Verbena) Claassen of Whitewater, Kan., Mrs. J. W. (Rosalie) Glidewell of Anaheim, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Johnson, Enid, Mrs. Sam (Lena) Schmidt and Mrs. Ford (Caroline) Jantz, both of Goltry; and a brother, Ben Unruh of Sallisaw, Okla.

Funeral services were held in the Grace Mennonite Church in Enid on Sunday, Oct. 12 with Rev. Larry Wilson and Rev. R. G. Trent officiating. Burial followed in the Karoma Cemetery at Goltry.
