• Funeral services for John P. Wedel, 61, miller at the Moundridge Mill, were held Monday fornoon [sic] at the West Zion church in Moundridge, with Rev. Ed R. Stucky officiating. Mr. Wedel died Friday, June 12, at Mercy hospital after being a patient there for two weeks. Surviving are his widow, the former Malinda Wedel; one son, Waldean Wedel of Newton; four grandchildren; four brothers and seven sisters.
