MRS. KATHARINE WEBER

Mrs. Katharine Lowenberg Weber, 86, daughter of the late Valentine and Katharine Krehbiel Lowenberg, died in Sacred Hearr hospital in Fort Madison, Iowa, March 12, at 8:40 p.m. She had been a patient in the hospital for 11 days, but had been in failing health for years.

Born Jan. 12, 1873, northwest of Donnellson, she was a lifelong resident of this vicinity and was a member of Zion Mennonite Church and of the Women's Mission Society of that church.

On Jan. 12, 1896, in Donnellson, she was married to David C. Weber, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Erwin of Ames and Edward of Argyle; five daughters, Miss Anna Weber of Donnellson, Mrs. Linda Loges of Farmington, Mrs. Elsie Clemenson, Mrs. Olga Waggoner and Mrs. Clara Waggoner of Denver, Colo.; five brothers, Thomas, Hugo, Herbert, Arnold and John V. Lowenberg, all of Donnellson; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Krehbiel and Miss Alma Lowenberg of Donnellson and Mrs. Floyd Alexander of Gardena, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Zion Mennonite Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Harold Thiessen officiating. Burial was made in the Mennonite cemetery.

Relatives from a distance attending the services were Mervin Weber of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Fred Clemenson, Charles Clemenson, Mrs. Clara Waggoner of Denver, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Erwin A. Weber of Ames.
