GORDON S. WEBER

Gordon S. Weber, 71, of Kitchener, Ontario, died Feb. 6 at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital following a heart attack.

A Twin City area resident all his life, he farmed at Route 3, Kitchener, for many years. He was a charter member of the Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church and served as a deacon of the congregation for many years. He was the local treasurer of the Canadian Bible Society and was active in work of the Mennonite Central Committee.

Mr. Weber was a son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Urias K. Weber. His first marriage was to Verna Eby, and she died in 1965. He married Enetta Gingrich Witmer in 1971. She survives with a son, Rev. Ralph Weber of Newton, Kan; two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Doris) Bechtel of Kitchener and Mrs. Nelson (Helen) Horst of St. Jacobs; two step-sons, Kenneth and David Witmer, both of Kitchener; two step-daughters, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Schiedel of Cambridge (Galt) and Mrs. Elmer (Eileen) Shantz of Cambridge (Hespeler); four sisters, Ruby and Edna Weber of Kitchener, Mrs. Irvin (Olive) Eby of St. Jacobs and Mrs. Maurice (Mary) Plummer of Route 2, Waterloo; four brothers, Howard of Kitchener, Stanley of New Dundee, Edward and Paul of Waterloo; and 23 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Stirling Avenue Church on Feb. 8 by Rev. James Reusser, the pastor.
