JOHN E. WEBB
John E. Webb, son of the late Andrew and Patty Webb, was born Nov. 29, 1893 in Seymour, Tenn., and died at the Hoemako Hospital in Casa Grande, Ariz. on Oct. 3, 1961, age 67 years, 10 months and six days.
Mr. Webb's younger days were spent in Illinois and Iowa. On Dec. 8, 1915 he was united in marriage to Katherine Neuhauser of Flanagan, Ill., who survives. Two sons blessed this home, Earl of Lima, Ohio and Glenn of Kingman, Ariz. They survive with five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Katie Martin of Kingston, Texas, one brother Henry of Pontiac, Ill., and a host of nieces and nephews. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
The family spent a number of years in Royal Oak, Mich. where they were members of the Detroit Mennonite Mission. For the past 17 years the Webbs lived in Arizona due to Mr. Webb's condition of bronchial asthma. He was a member of the Sunnyslope Mennonite Church, Phoenix.
Funeral services were conducted Oct. 8 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Casa Grande with Rev. Melvin Ruth, pastor of the Sunnyslope Church, and Rev. Loma Jack, pastor of the CMA Church of Casa Grande, officiating. The sermon text was Amos 5:8. Burial was made in the Mt. View Cemetery near Casa Grande.
