Virginia Farmer Killed When Clothing Catches in Digger

Waynesboro, Va. — An accident involving a post-hole differ claimed the life of Raymond S. Weaver, 40, the afternoon of Dec. 14.

He was operating the machine near his home when apparently his clothing became entangled in it, causing his death. Members of the family went to investigate when he failed to return home for supper, and found his lifeless body. He leaves his widow, the former Mary Belle Balser, and four children of the home.
