Grandfather, Little Boy Killed In Separate Accidents

Kinzer, Pa. — Separate accidents claimed the lives of Samuel G. Stoltzfus, 64, of rural Gap and the two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Weaver of White Horse.

Mr. Stoltzfus died Feb. 6 in Lancaster General Hospital of a head injury received on Jan. 31 while operating a lathe at the C and R Machine Company here. Funeral services were held Feb. 9 at the Maple Grove Mennonite Church near Atglen.

He leaves his widow, the former Elizabeth Yoder of Nappanee, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Mervin L. Schrock of rural Goshen, Ind. and Nora Y. Stoltzfus of Harrisonburg, Va.; two sons, Vernon Y. of Goshen and Clair of New York, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

The Weaver boy fell off a tractor operated by his father and was run over. The funeral was held Feb. 8 at the Old Road Mennonite Church.

John Randal [sic Jon Randall] Weaver, two-year-old son of Joseph Lee and Pauline (Burkholder) Weaver, Rt. 1. Gap, was killed when he fell out of his father’s arms to the ground and was run over by the tractor his father was driving. Survivors include his parents and three brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at the Old Road Mennonite Church.
