Accident Claims Life Of Retired Bishop

Harrisonburg, Va. — An accident at the Klann Organ Company plant in Waynesboro on May 12 claimed the life of Franklin E. Weaver, 60, retired Mennonite bishop who had been employed there since 1965. He was dead on arrival at the Waynesboro hospital.

A member of the Springdale Mennonite Church, he had served as a bishop for 17 years. Funeral services were held at the church on May 15, with Bishops Roy D. Kiser, Lloyd Horst, and Linden M. Wenger in charge.
