Amish Youth Drowns In Ohio Stream
Sugarcreek, Ohio. — The fishing trip of three Amish brothers of rural Fredericksburg ended tragically on May 18 when 18-year-old Levi Weaver drowned in Salt Creek.
The youth, his twin brother Jacob J. and 15-year-old Emory J. fished for a time and then decided to go swimming. Levi went down in an 18-foot-deep hole reportedly caused by last summer's flood.
He leaves his mother and stepfather, Sam A. and Mary (Weaver) Miller, eight brothers and six sisters.
