MRS. LENA WARKENTIN

Mrs. Lena Unrau Warkentin was born Sept. 8, 1891, at Mt Lake, Minn. and passed to her eternal reward at 7 a.m. June 4, 1954, having reached the age of 62 years, eight months, 27 days.

At the age of 15 she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and Lord, and upon the confession of her faith was baptized by Elder H. I. Dick and received as member in the E.M.B. church at Mt Lake, Minn.

On June 24, 1915, she was united in marriage with John R. Warkentin, which union lasted 38 years, 11 months and 10 days. This union was blessed with nine children, eight sons and one daughter. Two infant sons, one grandson, and one daughter-in-law preceded her in death.

In 1948 she moved with her family to Dallas, Oregon, and in the following year united with the Grace Mennonite church of Dallas.

The deceased possessed unusually good health until about six years ago when an incurable illness became apparent from which she never recovered, although she often received relief from her suffering through medicine and the ministry of intercessory prayer.

She leaves to mourn her departure, besides her husband, seven children, John of Dallas, Oregon, Henry of Sioux City, Iowa, Jacob of Linn Grove, Iowa, Melvin of Mapleton, Iowa, Albert and Lois of Salem, Oregon, and Delmar of Dallas, Oregon; also five daughters-in-law and one son-in-law, eleven grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and besides these a host of friends and relatives who faithfully stood by her in intercessory prayer until her earthly life ended. She now sees what she believed. — J. R. Warkentin and family.
