. . .
— Many friends here were shocked to hear of the sudden death of Henry Warkentin of Lehigh, which occurred Wednesday evening, sept. 29. Mr. Warkentin was a brother of Otto Warkentin and Mrs. Warren Utterback of Newton. He was caretaker of the Lehigh school building and seemed in good health when his daughter left him there shortly after six o'clock on the evening of his death. The family waited for him to come home for supper, but when he failed to appear the daughter again went to the school to get him but to her great distress found her father dead, evidently having died of heart attack. The burial was held last Sunday afternoon at the Lehigh Mennonite church and it was a large funeral. Mr. Warkentin reached the age of 52 years. he is survived by his wife, daughter Ina Jean, and sons Edgar and Dale. He also leaves his aged father, Jacob A. Warkentin of Lehigh.
