Our loving husband and father, Milferd Wall, the son of Peter J. and Minnie Just Wall, was born on April 17, 1914, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. When he was three years old he moved with his parents to Beaver County, Okla. and later to Ingalls, Kansas. At Ingalls he received his elementary duration and also spent his first year in high school. In 1933 h moved with his family to Reedley, Calif. where he graduated from Reedley High School.

In 1929 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized upon his confession of faith and united with the Baptist Church of Ingalls, Kansas. Later he transferred his membership to the Mennonite Brethren Church of which he was a faithful member to the end.

On Oct. 15, 1938, he was united in holy matrimony to Glenabell Groening in Reedley. This marriage, lasted 23 years, nine months and 14 days, was blessed with two children, one son and one daughter.

We made our first home in Reedley and later moved to Tulare where Mr. Wall managed a tire store. Following this we spent some years in the clothing business in Fresno, Calif. The last six and one-half years we made our home in Reedley where Mr. Wall was employed by the Martens Chevrolet & Oldsmobile Company.

At the time when our country needed him, he served three years as a non-combatant in the armed forces.

Mr. Wall was conscientious about his daily work and sought to be a testimony wherever possible. As a member of the Rotary Club he left a final testimony. Being in charge of the program, he chose to show a gospel film by Billy Graham. He was also very active in church work. For many years he has served in the male chorus. He served as usher a number of years, and was active in the Fishermen's Group. At the time of his death he was a respected member of the church Board of Trustees.

We as a family will greatly miss him but we rejoice in his testimony that he was prepared to go, and if it was the Lord's will he also was willing to go. The Lord called him home to Glory Sunday evening, July 29, 1962. He reached the age of 48 years, three months, and 12 days.

Those who remain to mourn his too early departure are his wife, Mrs. Glenabell Wall of Reedley; one son, Gerald, age 14; one daughter, Glorabell, age 8; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hildebrandt, his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Kroeker and one brother, John F. Wall, all of Reedley; one brother-in-law two sisters-in-law; five nephews, one niece, and a number of uncles and aunts.

The memorial service was held in the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Dan Friesen and Rev. Henry L. Janzen officiating. — The Family.
