ELIZABETH WALL

Elizabeth Wall of Coaldale, Alta. passed away Sept. 4. She was born Aug. 22, 1905 to Johann and Elizabeth Dick in Lichtfelde, Molotschna, southern Russia. She accepted the Lord in her young years. She was baptized and joined the Allianz Church. In 1926 the family immigrated to Saskatchewan. In 1927 they moved to a farm in Coaldale. She faithfully assisted the family by working in fields and as a domestic servant. She loved children and taught the youngest ones in Sunday school for many years. In 1955 she married Gerhard Wall, becoming the beloved mother of his family. At the same time she cared for her mother in their home. Gerhard died 7 years later. Due to illness she moved in with her sister Mary in January, 1990. She went to hospital in January, 1991. She experienced much pain in her last 8 months, but passed away peacefully. She is survived by daughters Mary and Anne of Calgary and Margaret Thiessen of Coaldale; sons Gerhard of Ryley, Alta. and Henry of Calgary; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother. The funeral was Sept. 9 in Coaldale MB Church, with John Dueck ministering.
