MRS. J. C. (MARIA) WALL

Mrs. Maria Wall was born on Oct. 29, 1880, to Mr. and Mrs. Peter P. Heppner at Mt. Lake, Minn. She died Friday, March 4, 1960, at Dallas, Oregon, attaining the age of 79 years, four months and four days.

Mrs. Wall spent her girlhood days in the Mt. Lake area. It was also there that she came under the conviction of her sin and found peace and joy in salvation through Jesus Christ. She was baptized by Elder Aaron Wall on July 3, 1897 and became a member of the E. M. B. church at Mt. Lake.

On Dec. 14, 1899 she was married to John J. Friesen. Four daughters were born to this union: Mary, who died at the age of 29; Tina, who died at the age of 22; Bertha, who died at the age of 16; and Susie, Mrs. Ben H. Friesen of Dallas, Oregon.

In 1913 the family moved from Mt. Lake to Chinook, Mont., and farmed in that area for a number of years. In 1920 they moved to Dallas, Oregon. It was here that her husband, Mr. Friesen, passed away in 1942.

On July 25, 1944 she was married to J. C. Wall. He died on Dec. 28, 1955. For about a year after that she lived by herself, and then came to make her home with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Friesen.

Mrs. Wall joined the E.M.B. church in Dallas when they moved here in 1920, and continued a faithful and praying member until the time of her death.
