MRS. MARGARETHA WALL

Margaretha Thiessen was born in Russia on December 1, 1867. She came to the U.S.A. with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Wilhelm Thiessen, in 1876. She accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized by Elder Isaak Peters at Jansen, Nebr. and received into the E.M.B. church.

On Feb. 14, 1886, she was married to Jacob M. Wall, who preceded her in death on July 7, 1930, at Langham, Sask. Three children were born to this union, a son Wilhelm who died at the age of 51 years, on Dec. 29, 1939, and two daughters who mourn her death, Maria, Mrs. Isaak Krahn of Abbotsford, B. C. and Margaretha, Mrs. Abram Hamm of Mission City, B. C.

She also leaves seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; two sons-in-law; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Flaming, Mrs. Sara Schmidt, Mrs. Maria Richert, all of Abbotsford, B.C., Mrs. Aganetha Warkentin of Dalmeny, Sask., Mrs. Susana Dick of Mountain Lake, Minn.; four brothers, John and David Thiessen of Abbotsford, Rev. Gerhardt T. Thiessen of Orange Cove, Calif., Wilhelm T. Thiessen of Dalmeny, Sask.

When they were married they lived at Henderson, Nebr. Then they moved to Dakota, Butterfield, Minn., later to Langham, Sask. In 1945 she came to Abbotsford, B. C. to stay with her daughter, Mrs. Isaak Krahn.

When she departed from this life to be with the Lord she was at the Kirkpatric home for the aged at Burneby, B. C. She had a heart attack about 10 days before she passed away. When we went to visit her a week before her departure, my husband asked her if she was ready to go. She said “yes." A little while later she said, “O how nice will it be up there. And you all shall follow me!" She reached the age of 83 years, five months and 31 days.

The funeral service was held at the funeral home in Mission City. Rev. Henry Neufeld was in charge, and read Hebrews 4:9, 10, 9:27, 12:14 in German. Duet by Susie and Beulah Schmidt, "Beyond the Sunset.” At the graveside near Abbotsford Rev. C. Wall used the text John 11:23, ‘Thy brother shall rise again. “Song, "In the Sweet By and By.” — Mrs. G. C. Richert.
