JACOB C. WALL

Jacob Cornelius Wall was born February 7, 1910 in Crimea, Russia. In 1929 he emigrated to Canada with his parents and became resident in Coaldale, Alberta. He married Margaret Janzen in 1937 and during the same year was baptized upon his confession of faith and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church.

August 12, 1967 saw the fulfillment of one of his favorite citations: When our journey endeth,/ He will take our hand,/ Lead us O, so gently,/ To the Promised Land.

Funeral services were conducted in the Mennonite Brethren Church in Coaldale on August 16. Rev. D. J. Pankratz read 2 Cor. 1:3-7 for the invocation and based his message on Job 7:17. He posed Job's question, "What is man that Thou shouldst magnify him?" and pointed out that according to Ps. 73:23, 24 the redeemed of the Lord are held by his right hand, are guided with his counsel and received into glory.

Rev. David Janzen, pastor of the Mennonite Church at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., and brother-in-law of the deceased, chose as his text, "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Phil. 1:21, 24). The "Bread of Life" radio choir rendered several hymns which had been favorites of the deceased.

Left to mourn his passing are: his wife, three daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, two grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
