MRS. JACOB H. WALL

Mother, grandmother, great grandmother Agatha Buhler Wall was born in Marienthal, Russia on May 24, 1869. She came to America with her parents when she was six years old. They settled in the vicinity of Mountain Lake, Minn.

She realized her need of accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and upon her confession of faith in Him was baptized by Elder Theodore Nickel, and thus she became a member of the Bergfelder, now the Gospel Mennonite church at Mountain Lake, where she remained faithful until the Lord called her home.

She was married on May 29, 1890, to Jacob H. Wall and together they made their home on a farm five miles southeast of Mountain Lake. To their union were born five children: Helena, Mrs. Gerhard T. Nickel, Henry D. Wall, Abraham D. Wall, Justina, Mrs. John L. Derksen, and Anna, Mrs. Pete Stoesz Jr. She also had 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Four grandchildren died in infancy.

As a Christian she was always cheerful. To her children she was a good and a praying mother. Her children call her blessed. To her husband she was a faithful companion, sharing with him all joys and sorrows. To those in need she always lent a helping hand.

Last summer she began to fail in health and in November she became more helpless. In her sufferings, however, she was very patient, never complaining about much discomfort. During her last days she had a desire to go and be with the Lord. Her release came in the evening of Easter day at about 11 o'clock.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, three daughters, two sons, three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of friends. Her age was 79 years, 10 months and 23 days.

Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 from the home and 2:00 at the First Mennonite church with Rev. John P. Suderman officiating, assisted by Rev. L. R. Amstutz and Rev. H. H. Quiring. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Arthur Wall, Elmer Wall, Cornie Hiebner, Willis Stoesz, Gerhard Nickel and Harry Wall.
